As I wrote about in my book, the power of random words (even two of them) can be a significant force in the ole gray matter. I suggest that using two word combinations (which I dubbed RANBO's) can be used to force your brain into being creative. The simple act of just looking at two completely unrelated random words (like TELEPHONE and OATMEAL) will send your thoughts cascading into creative thought (even if by the way you believe you are not creative). Hey, you might even come up with a wildly successful idea as a result (perhaps placing long distance phone cards in cereal boxes as I initially thought when I penned those two words).
I was pleased to find out that a science has confirmed this. Psychologist Keith Sawyer, author of Explaining Creativity: The Science of Human Innovation (Amazon) provides the detail.
Use the power of random thoughts to ignite your creative mind.
